What Mom? It matches!!

Asher informed me that they ALL have green on them. He told me even his underwear had green on it. Yep, they all have green, what can you say to that? Luckily, he can't wear that to school. Bummer.

Why FLY when you can RIDE?

So last night I get a call from Zach telling me to come out to the garage. So I opened the door and this is what I see. This bird sat like this ALL the way back from his Home Teaching family which was close to a mile away. I have never seen anything like this before, I don't know what I would have done had I been the one driving. This bird posed for some pictures and then flew away. Interesting to say the least.

GO ROCKIES!!!!

We attended our FIRST Rockies game as a family. I have gone with Asher and my family, and Zach has gone with work. On Friday, Zach's work had a million tickets and he was able to get 4 for our family. We watched the Dodger's, but according to Cohen we watched the "Giants". When we were trying to explain to him that we weren't watching Asher play we were watching bigger guys, he then said "o like Giants?" Yep Cohen. Later after seeing them, he said "O they aren't giants they're daddies". We managed to make it to the top of the 8th. Weather was good, seats were great. It was a great family outing. Fun had by all, including Zach.

Great seats on the first base line! A foul ball was hit 3 rows directly behind and to the right of me. Gray was sleeping and Zach and the boys were going to find Lemonade. Freaked me out. I ran out of the way. Too close for comfort there.

Asher's Preschool Graduation

Asher, as we all know, graduated from Preschool last Spring. He went to Leafy Tree Top Preschool with Miss Heather. He had a wonderful year of learning, using his imagination, making crafts, and making friends. The graduation was so fun. They showed us what they were up to all year with songs, pictures, and nice words from Miss Heather. She did a great job preparing Asher for Kindergarten this year.
Asher had the job of holding the flag and getting everyone to say the Pledge.

Asher and Miss Heather.

Best Buds!!!!!

Asher and Cohen's "Best Buds" moved last month to Reno. O how we miss them. I think they sort of are beginning to understand the meaning of moving. Asher more so than Cohen. Cohen talks about "Gavie" as he calls him ALL the time. Random stories here and there and telling me he is going to tell "Gavie" on me. Oooo I am scared :).

Although we miss them, we hope everything is going well. We are so excited to see them next month in Provo for a quick weekend.

Summer Baseball Team

So I know this is out of order, but since I figured this out I am going to be playing catch up on a few things we have been up to.
This summer Asher played baseball which he loved. First he was the green team-which is his favorite color-, then he had his cousin's, Dirk, Coby and Beckett on his team, and his coach was my brother Chris. It was a great experience for him. He looked forward to each Saturday and would count down the days until he had his game. Chris did an excellent job getting all 24 players organized, having fun and learning the basics of baseball.

His swing did improve throughout the season

Thanks Chris for a great season!

Week of Firsts

This week was a week of firsts for us. Asher started Kindergarten last Monday and is loving it. I was more nervous than he was. Now that we have a week under our belt, I am feeling more at ease. I understand the whole carpool thing, which honestly is what I was terrified of the most. Not him making friends and doing well in school, carpooling. Lame yes. I was told by Asher that I need to get there sooner so he doesn't have to wait forever for his name to be called. So yes I get in line at 2:40 or so even though he doesn't get out until 3:15. Sadly, I am not the first in line. I may have no life, but what I have found is that Cohen usually falls asleep as well as Gray, and I get some reading done, and Asher doesn't have to wait that long to hear his name. We all win in my book! Here is the mandatory first day of school picture. He is too cute and loves school.

Cohen also started Preschool this past week. He is going Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9:30-12. He loves going and it makes him feel old since he goes to school like Asher does. He has so many kids from our ward in his class and a great friend Parker, who is his "buddy". This is good for him and well let's be honest me too. Here is Cohen's first day of school picture, he was so excited to get this taken. Gotta love the red head!

And well I can't do a post with out mentioning Gray. He is getting so big, 7 months now. Boy how times flies, and yes I still need to do a birth announcement for the kid. I am lame. Sorry Gray. He continues to be a chill boy, who still sleeps well. Goes to bed at 6:45 and gets up at 6:30 or so. He is so happy, eats well and for the time being is healthy. We took him to National Jewish (Asthma/Allergy specialist) per his pediatrician to get a second opinion about his breathing. She is treating his reflex and we are doing precaution flovent treatments twice a day for the upcoming fall and winter seasons. They did skin tests for allergies and came up with nothing which is great. I just am so thankful that he is such a pleasant baby with all that has happened with him. I am so thankful he is in our family. He brings us so much joy and Asher and Cohen adore him, maybe too much at times.
